JQP,

Wondering where you went...

Thought for everyone who believes the problems with tech are over. I have spent the last two weeks visiting customers and the EMS Providers on the west coast trying to get a handle for my q3 and q4 sales forecast. Almost in every case, my customers still have too much component inventory. Really unbelievable after 18 months... But what is really interesting is that much of the inventory is almost past it's "date code". Yes, the stuff does spoil :)

What I find amazing is that nowhere in SLR's, FLEX's or anyone else's 10Q's etc.. is there any mention this inventory (spoiling assets on their books) must be chucked out the back door. The question I've been asking everyone is when will SLR come clean? and when they do, it's not going to be pretty. The EMS Providers still have billions in component inventory and it's getting old, fast.
