Hey twister,

How's it goin'? Do you still see eternal darkness for Apple? I think it's time to pick up shares. The only downside I see would be if Jobs did sell that 1.5 million. But the way the wires are having to stretch to make good news sound bad, or just outright lie, smacks of desperation. Just this week we have:

* Apple's share of the K-12 increases to 59%, but the last line of the piece reads, "but MicroSoft is making inroads into this market." Yeah right, so that's why Apple's share went up.

* Power decides to make a few NT boxes and that becomes "Power SWITCHES to Intel."

* Apple's desktop and laptop sales are up 4% over same time last year, but where are the wire stories?

They've got the fastest laptops on the planet (which are simply beautiful if you haven't gotten your hands on one.) Their desktops are solid, well priced and clock up to 300 MHz today. Yellow Box is incredible. OS 8 is out in 2 weeks. Rhapsody has been seen running on a 3400. Intel can't get near 240 MHz on a laptop, though Apple is about to bump speed again.

And the stock is at a 12 year low. Whaddaya think?

Scott
