As I said before, dissenting views are welcome. I was pretty much a lone dissenter on the AMAT thread for almost 1 1/2 years. I used inflammatory phrases such as "fools being led to the slaughter by charlatans" to characterize the bubble.

Since you are new here, you should moderate your rhetoric until you learn who is here. You are not saying anything most of us don't know or haven't read. The problem is much more difficult this time around because of valuations, the burst bubble, and the attack. With semi-equips, the next cycle peak, when and how high, is key. Compare current prices to your estimates of cycle peaks for some of these companies. There are always buy points for quality companies in this industry. You are saying that current prices present more risk and less opportunity for profit. Quantify both.

By the way, Ian has the least tolerance for "suffering fools (his perception) gladly." You have already been hit with his worst. This and the AMAT thread are not like many SI and Yahoo threads. Many of us have been here since '95 and '96 and we have helped each other profit handsomely by generally civil and objective discussion.
