Hi Roy,

Well a little humor goes a long way as we addicted traders stare into this one eyed delivery system of data.gg
I've always had Teledesic as my favorite constellation - Gates and McCaw are successful visionaries of the highest order - on top of that they've got the capital to make anything they envision to work.

McCaw's genius to the wireless revolution was initial before the broad vision was accepted.Gates - well the rest is history. For these two guys to buddy up on a project that really is a leap frog event that will conquer "the last and more importantly the FINAL FRONTIER"is just plain exciting.

I think it speaks volumes that they are going outside the realm of American government control to implement the initial stage. That reads if you want us to spread around the wealth - here is how we are going to play.

It is my dream of the highest order to think of Martin being allowed to hang with this crowd.I may be a little tunnel visioned here, but I think his contribution to wireless communication "that is mobile" allows him to walk down the halls of success with anyone. We'll leave it to time to see if he can amass similar wealth for his visionary contributions. If he does -we do aswell.

Suffice it to say we're gonna be fishing on that Hatteras, as we watch Martin on Trac Vision, talking about the "mobile revolution" well before it's all over.

It sure will be grand twenty years from now when peolpe say if only I would have bought that KVHI back when nobody heard about it.You know the old IBM/Microsft wish stories.

Ah dreaming as the snow falls here in Wisconsin.I think maybe I better go jump in a snow bank, as the fever must be getting high.hehehe

There actually is good logic between the two getting hooked up.Gates has always wanted to be an ISP of sorts. If he gets the birds, he could well roll in KVHI. As the exclusive mobile ISP for North America - it could well become the first to offer video over voice to both the stationary market and at the same time be the first mobile provider as well.

Current internet networks can not do video overvoice - the technology exists and it is the next wave.I have been invested in SBSE for several years now, they have won many design wins which will incorporate the next upgrade build out to feature video over voice. The recent decline /consolidation of the communication network companies has caused a pushout of the upgrades.Rance Graham is a visionary, and early developer of the internet. His off the cuff visions of how the world's internet will evolve, are often the highlights of his quarterly webcasts

I really hadn't thought that perhaps the next wave of technology would leapfrog the ground network by a constellation in the sky.At some point the old ground network becomes a burden and a leap of technologu will rewrite the rules.Just as wireless in South America leaped over copper wires - so too might satellites with Fiber optic based technology jump over the established copper wires.

Outrageously exciting to think that Teledesic could also usher in the new level of technology AND INCLUDE MOBILITY WITH VIDEO OVER VOICE as just another capability with out it being an upgrade.

HUGE POSSIBILITIES unless I'm dreaming of course.Better go check out that snowbank huh.

Bob
