Sir James- Good scripture. However it doesn't solve the problem. Is Israel saved because they are God's chosen people? The OT is full of their backslidings. What about those Haley Boppers? A few had a good walk with the LORD in prior years. If you were to preach their funeral, would you confine them to gehenna, hades, paradise, heaven, or the space ship? Jacq PS I believe it is in Romans 8 somewhere (without looking it up)--- where John Wesley emphasized this with the early Methodists---"His Spirit bears witness with our Spirit that we are the sons of God" Thus the "witness of the Spirit" became a rallying point for the conversion experience. Old-fashioned repentance and "praying through" was taught.
