Dell doesn't have 5.6 Billion lying around. I think DEC is a bit too big for Dell to go after. By the way it was MUEI I was speculating Dell should consider if they need added capacity quickly.

The basic service idea I like but here is a little problem. DEC in lawsuits with Intel. Intel cannot be happy with DEC. Dell has been very good about staying close to Intel. So buying DEC would put them in a terrible position with Intel, there sole supplier. Therefore, Dell would have to drop all lawsuits in order to get on with business.

You idea is a good one but DEC looks too big and too dirty.
