The main thing about health care is that one need only tailor a solution to the problem. For the vast majority of Americans, there is no problem, because they are covered one way or another. Even the "30 to 40 million" was mostly composed of those in transient situations, for example, being between jobs, so that the numbers of people in chronic jeopardy was a fraction of that. What is needed,in such cases, is something between Medicaid and group coverage, a sort of subsidized system that still requires them to pay more than they would on Medicaid, for example, purchasing catastrophic insurance with a high deductible and fairly low premium.In other words, we do not have to go through an overhaul of the whole system to cover perhaps 2% of the population.......
