Today's Houston Chronicle has front-page pictures of the ice storm in Oklahoma and Kansas along with a story headlined Winter with a vengeance. One of the pictures shows a row of power lines (four crossbars on each pole and several lines on each crossbar) that are drooping very low from the weight of the heavy coating of ice. The other picture shows a piece of heavy equipment (snow plow?) clearing a neighborhood street of tree limbs. It all looks like a serious situation. I hope all people and creatures are warm and well where you are.
