Lee, I didn't know JB gave advise. If you think JB's recommendations were bad you should try Olde. It is my rule of the stock market, NEVER buy on any brokers advise. Do your own due dilligence.

I liked Robert Floyd's response #230 from the Brooktrout thread.

<<<<I think many of you are missing the point with analysts upgrades and downgrades. Usually when an analyst comes public with a buy recommendation and a price target, the sole reason for doing this is to create an up market so that the firm and its clients can unload their stock at attractive prices. This type of stock manipulation by the various brokerage firms is commonplace in todays environment, and is based on the greater fool theory.

Until investors stop listening to analysts and their upgrades/downgrades, they will continue to manipulate and rob average investors. Analysts at brokerage firms are mostly lazy, incompetent people. Since they are unable to invent, innovate or otherwise engineer products and services which offer a real value to society, they use the fear and greed of those who do contribute to society and rob them. It is the only way they can make a living. Sort of like politicians and other bureaucrats who live off of the OPM principal (other peoples money).>>>>

I believe this is good for the brokers also.

Again, thanks Robert.
