kumar, you should read Jason Pontin's "From the Editor" column in the print version (last page), too.
A few samples:
Ms. Fiorina's impatience with HP's traditions, her preoccupation with her own fame, her celebrity perks, her habit of using the first person singular when the first person plural would be both more seemly and accurate - all this seems horribly out of place at Hewlett-Packard. ____
But what has upset me the most is Ms. Fiorina's much-quoted remark, "Leadership is a performance." No, it's not. This is to say that truth is what you can make people believe. ____
What Mr. Skilling and Ms. Fiorina have in common is their indifference to the substance of their businesses. They are all "message." They despise their employees, their shareholders, their customers; they have little interest in the products their companies sell; but they love themselves and the trappings and power of their rank.
OK, the comparison to Enron's Skilling may be a bit over the top. Let's just say, Red Herring's editors don't think much of Carly.
