The article is either lying or its not! Your second statement can not be true, and also the article. The article must be a lie, or not, because it says there are differences. Quoting the article, "What's more, some of these fragments revealed small but intriguing aberrations from the standard Koranic text. Such aberrations, though not surprising to textual historians, are troublingly at odds with the orthodox Muslim belief that the Koran as it has reached us today is quite simply the perfect, timeless, and unchanging Word of God."
If you wish to reserve judgement on this, I will respect that. But if the article and evidence shows differences, which it says it does, you will have to say the article is lying, or not.
