AMERICAN STOUTS

As any stout lover knows, there's a lot more to stout than Guinness. Although the classic stout styles are Irish and English, really it's American microbreweries that we should credit with reviving the classic styles that go well beyond Irish-style Dry Stout, as well as inventing their own robust interpretations of stout. At the next Beer Appreciation Night, we'll be sampling a diversity of America's best stouts in pretty much every style from Dry Stout to Russian Imperial Stout (but we'll spare you from tasting Oyster Stout). Some of the highlights include:

Anderson Valley Barney Flats
North Coast Old Rasputin
Deschutes Obsidian Stout
Sierra Nevada Stout
Victory Storm King Stout
Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Lost Coast 8-Ball Stout
Humboldt Oatmeal Stout
Bear Republic Big Bear Stout
He'Brew Messiah Stout
Napa Ale Works Oatmeal Stout

Plus, we'll be enjoying some of the best stouts from local brewers, including several GABF medal winners.

BJ's in Woodland Hills on Wednesday, Febrewary 6, 7:30pm

Admission:
$16 per person (pay at the door). Includes all beer samples, handouts and a raffle ticket. Must be 21 years of age. Designated drivers welcome at no charge.
