Perhaps,it would have been better all around to have moved to more transparent bookkeeping rather than try to do better PR. I would guess the Enron affair will set off a stampede to do that among all companies as companies with more transparent books get rewarded by 'wall street'. It may be hard to find many of these though. It's not in the nature of things.
