I would suppose that most SIers and most people in general are "against the ethnicide that China is carrying out in Tibet". But no one posts about it. There are no anti-Chinese activist posters on SI that are equivalent to the anti-Zionists who seem clearly to have a malevolent obsession with Israel and Jews.

Who knows - if you or someone posted multiple posts daily attacking and demonizing China and Chinese in an unfair and extreme manner, perhaps someone would challenge you on it. If you were nasty enough about it, perhaps I would.

I know there are Chinese and others who defend China in newsgroups.

But you don't see this on SI. And I think the scale of the newsgroup debate and the rage expressed is dwarfed by the anti-Zionist issue.
