Well, that sounds about as interesting as my life. I spend hours each day searching for a key set of complex mathematical equations which could solve the stock market indices. Of course, if I ever do find this holy grail, I will not share it with anyone, and I will go out of my way to use it in stealthy fashion and fill my coffers very slowly, but surely. VBG! But please don't think I am trite enough to believe I will ever find what I am seeking.

Say, a few years ago, a Spanish physicist, Juan Parrondo, discovered an interesting mathematical paradox, called Parrondo's paradox, which, in theory at least, could be used to devise a set of investing rules which would result in achieving consistent, desirable results. Sometimes I feel like I am close to finding a desirable answer using Markov chains and variations of Parrondo's paradox, but damn... the daily movement of the major market indices is a random walk, and yet it is not! It is maddening, but I will never stop trying. Heh!

Good luck on your research!

John
