Sorry to hear you are still locked out. I do not have the problem but was curious if it had been fixed. This problem is still all related to encrypted sites and possibly norton personal firewall, correct? You also had installed and attempted to uninstall some type of download accelerator program (or was it a web accelerator). You are also unable to uninstall IE 6.0 (because it is part of the system- not sure I understand that part) Can you install 5.5 ? This computer is using XP and is on a network. The other computers are able to enter encrypted sites. I installed 6.0 but had to take it back off after a week but can not remember why.<G> Didn't some 128 bit encrypted sites initially have a problem with IE 6.0? I seem to recall a few bank sites having an issue. This sound familar. pointman.org
