Funny you mention Hitler. He was quite the Populist, he rose to power by promising "the masses" the riches he'd take from the wealthy Jews. Quite amazing what he got thos efolks to turn their heads from or join in on once he throughly demonized the rich, wealthy JEWS. And of course he, and an all controlling central government would dole out the goodies to everyone. Then the German people would all be happy. This is a Left Wing message rich. This was Al Gore's message. This is at the heart of the Democratic Parties message rich. Collectivism, statism. And while we're on the "isms" of the past, how about Marxism and Communism?
