So what was your plan for the allies to force Japanese surrender? Park our Navy off Japan indefinitely and provide unlimited targets for those kamikazes

They had surrendered in effect. The situation was delicate because of culture and tradition. They wanted to preserve the identity of their Divinity, and of their Asian humanity...

"So those kamikazi pilots were riding Pagasus?"

There are some technical problems with referring to these kids as pilots. In 19444, many of them had up to 75 or 100 hours of training. In 1945, most of them had less than 10-15 hours (no gas, unfortunately, for them).

If you wish to call them "pilots"...then fine. Do you wish to designate them as "air force"?!...fine.

Overall, there was no more gas; the planes were crap; and the "pilots" had no training.

After the surrender, 11 of these 18 year old "pilots" left in the "air force" to attack Okinawa. Four of these "members of the air force" had engine trouble; seven of these members of the "air force" got lost!! :-)

When we think of "air force"...we usually think of service men trained to FIGHT. Most of these kids at the end of the war could not even land a plane! :-)

If you wish to consider them "air force"...fine! If you wish to consider them "Pagasus (sic) force"...fine!

But what do these kids have to do with Hiroshima or Nagasaki???
