BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Argentina's government scrambled to revise its economic crisis strategy on Saturday after a court ruling overturned a savings freeze, leaving the banks and peso currency facing possible collapse.

Bank closures would outrage Argentines who have staged violent protests against the bank restrictions and lined up for hours to try to retrieve savings halved in dollar terms after a painful devaluation last month. President Eduardo Duhalde, who had been due to unveil the strategy on Saturday, described the judges' decision that the bank curbs are unconstitutional as tantamount to blackmail. International Monetary Fund Chief Horst Koehler said it complicated ``tremendously'' an intended gradual release of bank deposits. Some economists fear Friday's Supreme Court ruling could trigger another run on the banks that might collapse the system and force bankruptcies
