Larry, LG, who is a pretty experienced trader and knows many in the trade, has previously posted on another thread that Don / da_cheif is the real deal, and those awards and masterful timing are legendary in those circles.

The problem I believe many have is with the open-ended bullish outlook he has while trading the up and down trends in the market. For example, he did call in December the possibility that there could be a fill of the gap on the March Spoos at 1087 (which we got last week), but all the time he's calling for that he's saying "to da moon!" That sends mixed messages. I also believe his stream of thought posts and interviews often are contrary to the eventual trading that is done.

Don never un-zips his bull suit, and that seems to fly in the face of market reality and his trading patterns. It's an attitude, much like Reagan's "It's Morning in America" theme early in the 80's. Don is bullish in America in the teeth of the most incredible bear market we've seen in 70-years.

I think the problem some may have is that the interviews and bullish posts are out there, but there is rarely any backing off them even though he is obviously trading contrary to them quite often.

I respect da_cheif's systems and experience. Like any other poster on SI, he has the right to be as condescending and arrogant as he feels is necessary to get his point across.

If you choose to read him and learn from him, those are his terms. Some think it's a good deal, others think it is not. Still others think it is all amusing.

I guess that's what an online community is all about <G>.
