I think we are still in a rally-round-the-US-flag-and-hold-dollars mania.

If the Japanese lose faith in their banks, and even more, in the value of the Yen, and start to buy gold in any quantity, and if gold should get back up to $350 (which it stayed above for several years in the later 1990s), holdings in mining stocks valued in dollars could be extremely reqrding--
