Don is a very strong personality and is willing to share his thoughts openly. The more one exposes himself the more scrutiny is heaped upon him. Folks can laugh him off if they want but he has some timing techniques which appear very useful. You of all folks ought to appreciate that all systems (including HAL) and all gurus will fail us and may eventually be rendered useless.

It is difficult to envision his claim that there will be a melt up in the market to 16000 Dow. But, I never believed, like he did, it would get to 10,000 by 2000 and I'm sure plenty others, including Brubaker, were skeptical as well.

Seems to me some SI folks piss away a lot of time denigrating the personalities instead of listening to what they say and choosing for themselves what to take to heart and what to ignore.
