The rules are simple: It's OK to post PMs UNLESS they contain personal information such as real names addresses, telephone #s, or bank acct info OR the sender has requested privacy.

Laz, I propose that there is a difference between what's "okay," and what SI thinks is its business to regulate or take action on. Personally, I would be very displeased to have any PM of mine, however innocuous, posted publicly without my express permission. I assume that most people instinctively abide by that protocol. Anyone who did otherwise would be looked on askance, I think (and would find they got very few PM's!)
