coug From what I have read recently the AMD you mention should outperform the P4 by a considerable margin. The newer P4's (northwood ?) have turned the tables and edged out AMD but will not be available to the public for several months. I would imagine you'd be happy with either system. Assuming you and I are "average" users, it is doubtful the difference in performance would matter or noticeable. That said, I returned my new Dell P4 a few weeks ago and got an AMD. Zardoz posted this message #reply-16626057 and reading the article and some linked within led me to my decision. tc
