STOCK #4 ANALYSIS: *** RACN *** (John J. O'Reilly)

Racing Champions produces and markets die-cast racing replicas sold at more than 20,000 North American retail outlets. For the nine months ended 9/30/01, net sales decreased 10% to $145.4 million. Net income totalled $10.2 million, up from $5 million. Revenues reflect a decrease in sales of non-racing die cast collectibles. Earnings were offset by a more favorable mix of higher margin products and tight control of discretionary expenditures.
