Joe Stocks Trader Talk.
New board I have started. Please drop by and tell me what you think. Been a SI member since 1996 but have spent most my time on AOL boards. Soon I will be leaving I will be leaving AOL and am looking for a new home.

Why didn’t I just latch on to an existing board? I’m an active trader doing over 5,000 trades a year. SI has many boards. I could not find a board that gives me enough new ideas efficiently with out wading through a bunch of non-market “chit-chat”. Maybe all boards end up like that after they build their community. I don’t know, but the board I came from at AOL seemed to be able to discourage that and kept the non-stock stuff for the week-ends. I will be monitoring the board and will not be shy in trying to bring the discussion back to stock talk, market movement and making money.

I have visited this board and it is one of the better ones but thought there may be some lurkers out there that wants some additional market discussion. I trade stocks both long and short. I’m more of a fundamentals type guy but working hard on my technicals and could use some help in that area. In addition to my day-trading where all I want is stocks that go up and down, I do have interest in finding longer term position trades for my retirement accounts. In this case I am more of a value-investor. The focus of my board will be more on position trades or trades that one would expect to hold for more than intra-day trading. Personally I don’t think day-trades play well on a message board but more suited to chat-rooms. In my personal trading style I check into the message boards only when I’m not trading. If one is pumping day trades the fact that he shorted QQQ at 11:50 and covered 1:30 doesn’t do me or most folks much good. Now if the short is taken for a trade that one expects will be carried a least over-night (unless stopped out) that is a different story. Then I would like to hear why they are making that trade.

Anyway, I want the board to be efficient and productive for making profitable trades. I would rather have fewer quality post to make money than a quantity of post by bored traders with nothing to do. Let’s share our research.

I have posted several messages at the board to give a general idea of what I am talking about. My apologies to anyone that may find me trying to promote this new board on another board offensive but rest assured that my intentions are in the best interest of sharing like interest and a passion for trading the markets. All I ask is that you dress business casual when you enter the board because there, we are all professionals.

In closing, it’s getting lonely over there at this new board and I if you do share a passion for trading, I think we have something to offer each other. First ten posters get one free share of ENE stock. Just send me a self addressed envelope with a $75 handling fee.

Best regards, Joe Subject 52372

PS. Yes, short-sellers are welcome. We are in a bear-market, why wouldn’t they be.
