Jim:
Motorola originally rammed their required bandwidth for TDMA down
everyone's throat. As I understand it there is no more room for
another TDMA system. The third article does acknowledge that it had
finally been proven that CDMA can and does work, however, on a much
more limited basis than was originally claimed. Apparently CDMA can
handle somewhat more capacity than TDMA but not nearly the excess as
they stated when originally touting this system. My concern at this
point, without any satellites in the air, would be how many more of
their claims are overstated.
If you can provide me with any articles, within the last couple of years, in support or criticism of Globalstar or Iridium I would be
very interested.
