It's ideal for people in daytime employment on the US East Coast, they can look at the market in the evening and trade over the net and subscribe to AFR.com online, Trading Room, OZeStock etc and even trade (buy warrants issued by banks) some NDX and SPX options :) And if you go with Waterhouse they might help you set the whole thing up. I opened my Datek Account from here after I left the US - I had some IRS refunds and wanted to put them somewhere useful....
