it's possible. but if there's one thing we know about Barak, it that he's a political klutz, and if there's one thing we know about Ross, it's that he's a smoothie. He's also been at this for so long that I find it hard to believe that anything in the last year suddenly changed his mind. It'll be interesting to read both his book and Indyk's book carefully on this point, to see what they consider the key turning points to have been (both on the ground and in their thinking). Me, for years now I've thought the key turning point was Rabin's assassination.
