I read that op-ed piece in the NY Times the other day by Frank Rich and thought it was right on target. Unfortunately, on the same page there was another piece about how this happens over and over again and every generation has to relearn the lessons. They specifically referred to that sleazy little bank (remember Penn Square Bank??) that almost brought down Continental Illinois Bank some years ago. Congress made noise over that one but ultimately little was done in the way of changing the law... Regards, John PS - I was discussing this with GV Tucker the other day on another thread and GV added that 'Kenny Boy' apparently still has property all over Houston that is not for sale. Perhaps his wife means 'broke' when their net worth dips below 50 million??
