NHC Communications Signs Agent Agreement with Tecmant S.A. for Immediate Sale of it ControlPoint Solutions MONTREAL, Feb. 4 /CNW/ - NHC Communications Inc. (TSE: NHC - news) and Tecmant signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the immediate sale and support of NHC's ControlPoint(TM) solutions in Costa Rica. NHC Communications Inc. a leading provider of carrier class test access and deployment solutions for the copper-based telecommunications and Internet access markets and Tecmant, a large distributor of telecommunications solutions in Latin America, have signed an exclusive three year agent agreement for the sale and support of NHC's ControlPoint(TM) solutions. Tecmant has placed an initial order for a ControlPoint(TM) CP5400 unit, representing an initial sale of CDN$400,000 to immediately address an FOA requirement for their client ICETel, Costa Rica's Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC).
NHC's agreement with Tecmant is for a term of three years, renewable annually and is established on objectives for each of the ILECs in their territory. Tecmant expects that this agreement will materialize quickly into additional orders to ICETel following the first FOA.
Tecmant is Costa Rica's largest distributor of telecommunications and enterprise systems with a presence in the Central American market covering, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador Guatemala and Honduras. Tecmant plans to sell NHC's ControlPoint(TM) solutions into its large carrier customer base in Costa Rica and the area.
