You may think you have made the question easy, but there are still two major areas in which one person may have an idea of the meaning and another can have a different idea. Before I give a simple answer to a complex question just so you can jump up and say "A-AHAH!" I would cover these ideas.

The first is "self awareness". This is a concept which we share with other major primates and perhaps dophins too. How loose of an interpretation do you propose? To some lines of thinking a self aware being becomes "unaware" when asleep.

The second is "human". If by human you mean containing the DNA of humans then the only requirement is that DNA. If by human you mean "homo sapien" or "thinking man" then you would need the ability to think.

The real unambiguous question would be "Is self awareness necessary for full legal rights?" and the answer is YES.
