The man sues people who send him unsolicited faxes.

Quite true.

They are violating both federal and state law. And they are being a damn nuisance, as any business which owns a fax machine knows perfectly well.

What is interesting is that I pointed out a year or so to a business newsletter, which was bemoaning the cost and inconvenience of unwanted and unsolicited faxes, that they were illegal, and here was how to solve the problem. At first they didn't believe me, but when I provided proof they realized I was right, and thought enough of it to write an article about it, quoting the very forms I developed for my suits.

I'm quite proud that I am doing my part to put an end to a pernicious and illegal activity. That's what lawyers SHOULD do. And if I can make a few dollars off it to boot, so much the better. That's what capitalism is all about.

Doing good and doing well at the same time. A hard combination to beat.

Certainly one fully worthy of a gentleman.
