Tom, Thanks for your thoughts and the "mule" example. A model of derivative clarity.<g> Just read an article in Time (printed version, sorry, no URL). Clarified things a little, actually it seems these guys had a nose for making bad investments, its just they didn't feel a great need to mention them to anyone. I found a list of "partners" in one of their partnerships, here it is: Message 16984099. Meanwhile, here is an interview with a Seagate VP on disk drives (remember those?): nikkeibp.asiabiztech.com . I don't think that they will start a drive war anytime soon. They need to show profits to get a good price when they go public. Then they will need to show a decent profit for a few quarters until their "investors" can sell the rest of their shares to the public--I doubt they will sell everything in the first offering, too suspicious. Then again, they do specialize in audacity, so who knows, they are the Kings of the Universe. Best wishes, Sam
