I respect Poet for abandoning the thread when she became uncomfortable with the activity. After all, there are six billion some odd bumkins on the planet. So why drone on with the one or two who bring you down. I'd prefer to see her comments here but it is her choice to come or go.

I also do not see a problem with her preference to control the nature of discourse on the threads she frequents, even though I prefer a little more freestyle in the input.

This particular thread is by nature a gloves off free for all. Not really suitable for every personality type.

I don't mind a challenge and have changed my position when people have shown me an oversight or weakness in my position. However, once I have formed a position on something, I don't like to be continually harrassed by people hounding me about the same stuff just to bully me into changing my position.

It seems like CH and Poet have been real clear on how and where they stand. Is there something new we can bring to the forum?
