Tim, How many of those 1400 were perps? The rest are innocents? cars are far and away the leader.

The stats where for accidents. I think if a perp accidentally shoots himself or someone else during the comission of a crime it wouldn't be counted as an accident in the statistics. Of course some of the 1400 are criminals fooling around with guns when they are not commiting crimes but I don't think anyone has even tried to break out that number.

apart from that your pages list the numbers 141 and 950 as kids killed each year from guns. disparate.??

Different years? More likely different definitions of kids (some use 14 and under, some use 17 and under, some gun control supports use 21 and under). I'd have to see the specific stats to even make an educated guess. I've posted a lot of stats and links so I'm not sure which ones you are refering to.

I am sure guns prevent crimes, what about guns and road rage?

Road rage with guns makes the news because it is relatively rare.
