Hi idler, could you try a little trick on your K 2255?

After you make the data call from your laptop, push the end button on your phone. What you should expect is that the dialup symbol should still be there since the data call will be in dormant mode now, yet you still have the PPP connection. Then you try a ping, the phone will be backing up from the dormant mode and reconnect into active mode with data going through.

Try it, I wanna make sure that dormancy is indded working there.
