Mark - My experience with IB is very thin because I just started trading a small margin account there to assess their performance. I did that because so many people on the day trading thread recommended them, and because many private correspondents have expressed the same positive opinions. The quality of the posters on the IB thread is very high, and I recognize many of them from other threads. No dummies trading there! So far I am impressed with IB. I don't think you can beat the commissions any where else if you are day trading less than a thousand shares. The computer-resident trading platform is very intuitive to use, and has redundant entry methods. I find it entirely satisfactory. Executions through Island are lightning fast. Executions through other trade centers seem noticeably slower, but my experience of that is yet quite limited. I am sure Cyber's platform is great, but at $10 you might as well be trading at Datek. That's too much unless you're swinging a really big line. Again, please keep us advised of your experiences. I am hoping that this venue will give us loyal users more leverage on upgrade features, so any comments you have as a new user would be most welcomed. - Mike
