Listening to CC this AM(very early for me, mind you, so don't shoot the messenger if inaccurate); Geaney did respond that these 'investments', which had decreased, had been reduced, and those that had improved in value were not increased(i.e. kept at cost)
Tough day for longs, tough day for my very recently purchased Leaps, and few shares. Still believe it will be a good investment; conference call, on balance, was positive, IMHO, even with the reduced guidance for 2002. I could be angry with Geaney, et al., but why bother?
Either Elan continues to make money on current portfolio, and future meds, or not. Now they are making money. My bet more in future.
Having said that, I would be quite happy if mgmt pulled out of US stock market altogether. Who needs the aggravation? Good luck to remaining longs, we'll need to forget about price quotes on ELN for a while. James Edit: just read Business Wire, Milberg Law firm files class action against ELN; the good news just keeps coming,ggg/ng |
