The discussion he shut me out of in the middle of was taking place in a specific venue. There was no "repeating" of criticisms made "directly." It was there he "criticized [me] directly," on an issue, and no other place, and there and only there I was responding. Until he decided it would be more fun to eliminate my part of the discussion and just say one insulting thing after another, along with his friends, to which I could not continue to respond. If that seems to you like good manners, ethical, proper and intellectually respectable, then do it. I neither do it nor think highly of the wolves who raised those who do it. We are on different wave lengths, I think.
