John; Thanx for the kick back; I'l try to work up the Nasdaq short
interest files for bearish sentiment back to 95, and make a small
work sheet showing the relitive movement, I wish the NYSE had
simular files but if they do I can't find them.
I'm not sure if it will expose any thing usefull..except on some
individual stocks, there I already know for a fact when the
short interset drops ( a good amount ) "IF: the stock has not droped it will that shows real clear but only applies to
were there is considerable short interest to start with, and you
have to do a lot of seaching to find one hanging..( were the shorts
forced out have covered and sent her on up and she is sort of
hanging at a high ) thats when you see them licking their wounds
while waiting to short her agine..the short interest is now 20%
lower, & volume has fallen off..but she still hanging high) that's
the clearest sign and most always you will see the stock decline.
Can this be done on a broad scale to judge the market I don't know,
yet but I'm working on it..and will do my best not to interject
data to fit a preconcived idea.
I want it to jump out and bite me <G>
Jim
