LOL, E! Excellent analogy!

<<It is apparently your view that if the person thus silenced listens to what the cowards are saying about him, or her,
for a few minutes, that's very wrong of him. Or her. Both the coward and the suppressed voice are committing
"wrongs," in your view, the suppressed voice for listening long enough to know what is being said about him or her
in the remnant of the public discussion he or she has just been ousted from.>>

The whole schoolyardish motivation is to shame the 'odd man out.'

I find on SI that the right wingers -- ONLY -- use this sophomoric group-think 'technique,' under the mistaken assumption that 'they' are the majority, and as such, have the power to marshall their idiots to 'causes' to shame those 'they don't like.' Nannana Nanna, etc. -g-

With laser precision, the 'leaders' determine precisely the aspect, that would be the most effective exploitation of the 'outcast.'

For thinking women -g- who support, for example, abortion rights, who represent a personal threat to the insecurity of the aging white male WASP, going for the genitalia is the ticket. LOL.

Shame them for having vaginas.

You know.... the whole thing I see played out over and over and over again on many boards here.

They just don't like 'uppity,' independent women.

I really like your town hall bouncer analogy!

bia

They may be here on SI, but it ain't the case in real life ... or politics ... in the U.S.
