More on SIA numbers for Dec 2001...

The SIA announcement is here semichips.org
The December number is not mentioned explicitly...
>Compared to November 2001, worldwide sales in December were down 4%, consistent with seasonal industry patterns. "Except for 1999,” Scalise noted, “monthly semiconductor sales in December for the past six years have registered a decline just as we are seeing this year.”< When I clicked there to download the pdf file, it asked for my ID and password. I ignored the request and it downloaded the Dec 2001 numbers as a MS word file. The Dec 2001 number is $10.18B ww chip sales.
