Lorne:
You state: > I am ashamed of being born and raised in Iran, a country where they built a Mausoleum over his grave and had the greatest party for his 100th birthday.
As painful and unthinkable as it can be, imagine the following for a second... that you and your family are held hostage by a few sick psychopaths at your own home where the people responsible for keeping you hostage keep you locked and chained inside your own house, and then disguise themselves as you and your family, and act as if they were you when answering the phone, responding to your mail, etc. in such a way that is evil, disgusting, and shameful, how would you feel? How would you feel knowing that all your neighbors, and friends think those sick psychopaths are you, and not knowing that the real you is locked and chained in some room inside the house? Just imagine that... and then you may come to know a bit of how 90% of Iranians feel right now!
And then you may also understand how hopeful and cheerful they have become from President Bush's recent statement with regard to putting the Psychopath regime of Iran on notice calling it Axis of Evil.
Yes, Lorne, regretfully no one - absolutely no one - can see or hear the cries of the Iranians with their long proud civilization who are held hostage under drakness of what is known as Islam. A nation is hurting, and crying -. It has been crying for the past 23 years - and no one - no one - is hearing it (or even cares to hear)... The story is a long one Lorne. And it is a painful one.....
