Hi Peter,

The copyright date on the page you cited states:

From yesterday's release:

© 2002 Teledesic LLC. All rights reserved. Terms of Use.

It does seem a bit lopsided, granted. Although, if I go back to 1995, there are releases that state 840 LEOs. It's almost as though we're witnessing a form of extraterrestrial half-life phenomenon, here ;)

I found it peculiar at first that the release would make the statement about the 72 Globalstar birds, twice. An attempt at subliminal obfuscation? Hmm.

I've re-read the latest release several times. Each time I've concluded that 12 plus 18 equals 30. Come to think of it, the subliminal thing concerning 72 birds must have had an effect on me. Earlier, I stated Teledesic was now planning to launch 32 LEOs instead of 30. Well, I'll be.
