Nah, I'm just an early-retired office worker. I go sport fishing in season, and I can buy frozen wild salmon year-around at a local store. FYI, much of the non-canned salmon in "lower 48" supermarkets is farmed, and there are questions about the lipid quality because of the commercial plant-based feed that is used.

I'm only semi-kidding about the Afghan food. The WFP also sends cooking oil and certain other things. I think the diet is theoretically "adequate", but that distribution is spotty. Cooking fuel may also be a problem. I'm curious about how the people cook the stuff, but I searched and couldn't find anything.

I personally grind my own wheat*, but I use a bread machine to bake the bread.
