I was simply pointing out that the numbers in three years since the 1997 descision to remove guns from the hands of the law abiding that lawless gun crimes numbers have grown. Atleast, I had assumed they had disarmed themselves for another purpose than to become helpless victims. Three years is not nearly long enough to determine the effects of a new law. But even if crime does not go down as hoped, England still has a crime rate that is minuscule in comparison to ours. Therefore, using them as example, only reinforces our need for tougher gun control laws. ted
