Hajj pilgrims eat crow and submit to Saudi security
Hajj security Saudi style: Trust in Allah, but digitize the eyes, eye the digits, band the wrists, clutch the passport, segregate by nationality, cover the mouth while coughing, (cover the lid) learn to flush the toilet and more - what an American Mom would say.. Not a whimp is heard from American Civil Rights advocates of certain persuasion, protestors of ethnic profiling, and from the muslim world.
Hajj pilgrimage season is underway: the muslim world is in a state of heightened piousness and the Saudi's trust in Allah in matters of security is supplemented by the Americans digitizing the eyes of, and the French fingerprinting the pilgrims. Saudi Arabia will be the first country to initiate these security measures on a massive scale in such a short period. Not a whimper is heard from the muslim world; there were loud protests in America just a few months ago just for suggesting such measures. If the muslims want to do the hajj, the journey, they better do it the Saudi way. The same should apply when foreigners come to America: follow the American way. |
