One of the reasons the movie The Matrix was so popular is that people appreciate at an intuitive level that things aren't always what they seem to be. Quantum physics has documented some very strange phenomena over the past century. It is when one seriously begins to look at the implications of these data that preconceptions about "objective reality" begin to dissolve. If you wish to discuss this subject seriously I'm sure it would be very on-topic for this thread. If you simply wish to ignore it and go about your life that's fine too.
