re: I would say Mississippi or New Mexico......they don't require a permit to purchase a rifle or handgun, nor to register them, nor to license the owners, nor a permit to carry......but dang, you know what, you have to be 16 and everyone knows a sixteen year old can buy a candy bar!

It's illegal in New Mexico to carry a concealed weapon.

Both states use the Brady Bill required NICS checks system for all handgun and rifle purchases.

Is the NICS checks system new..what is it? I just cross referenced with the Brady site and they don't mention the NICS system. According to Brady, both states have preemption laws.....is that what you mean by the NICS system?

The NICS system will have to be pretty intense to make up for the lack of regulation in many states.
